Little Creek Fellowship is a group of Seventh-Day Adventist Christians and visitors that began with the motive and purpose of sharing Christ in a positive manner with those who live in the Johnston County area and the World. Even though our existence as a group is recent, our faith is common with millions who have walked a similar path before us.
An organizational meeting was held with several families that were interested in starting a local church plant. In September the first service of Little Creek Fellowship was held at Elizabeth United Methodist Church. Pastor Dan Jarrard and his wife, Rebecca, joined the Little Creek family and began leading in worship and study. The church began incorporating Wednesday Night Bible Studies into the worship schedule. After meeting for several years, the Carolina Conference officially accepted Little Creek Fellowship into the conference, first as a group, then company. It was decided that a multi-phase church building would be built on land donated by church member John Massey and a building committee was formed.
Groundbreaking for phase one of the building project was on May of 2011 and construction started shortly after. Church members volunteered time and labor to help raise the building and after a little over a year the building was completed. Little Creek moved into the Phase 1 Fellowship hall with a dedication ceremony and dedicated the building to the Lord. After nearly 6 years of pastoral service, Dan Jarrard returned to full-time revival ministries. Archetectural design for the second phase of the building project began, and the building committee begain to explore options for the sanctuary phase of the project.
Planning began to ramp up for phase 2 of the building project, and construction started in December 2014, and was completed in December of 2015!
We were also joined by a new paster, Pastor Barry St. Clair in mid 2015.
We hope that you will become a part of Little Creek "History" in 2017. May God bless you this year.
